Lift is what is required to keep your kingdom afloat. For example, if you build too much on the front of your town center, then you’re going to have tilt causing you some problems. Tilt happens when you build too much in one direction of your flying kingdom. It’s all about the resources!Īs we get more resources, we can increase the size of our kingdom, but be careful as you’re limited by tilt and lift. Make sure you balance things correctly otherwise you won’t have enough inhabitants to farm resources, research, or do other tasks such as building. Resources such as wood are consumed by constructing new buildings, for example, the academy which unlocks your research tree. Manage the placement otherwise you’ll see your eternal doom. This can only be done once you’ve built the Hangar. We then have to farm the resources by sending planes with inhabitants down to collect said resources. We must fly our entire town to be within a radius of the resources, unlike other city builders where we must move our peons, peasants, workers, etc to the resources. Gaining resources is actioned in quite a unique way in Airborne Kingdom. Without basic resources such as food, water, and coal, you will fail fast. Trust me when I say resources are of the utmost importance in this game. We start off Airborne Kingdom with our first building, which is the center of your kingdom aptly named the Town Center, this helps keep your kingdom afloat and moving around so you can gain more resources from afar.

I am playing the PlayStation 4 version on the PS5, the game is also available on PC via the Epic Games Store, Xbox One & Series families, and the Nintendo Switch. It is developed by The Wandering Band and published by Freedom! Games ( To The Rescue!, Cat Cafe Manager).

Locations in the game are fairy-tale looking, with surroundings in pastel colors with beautiful lighting. While exploring the maps, you will come across small settlements and nomad tribes that you can incorporate into your kingdom.Īirborne Kingdom is graphically developed in a 3D environment. The maps are randomly generated, so each game will be different. You can also create trade routes by trading with other kingdoms, help them search for artifacts, and acquire knowledge from them that will allow for your technical development, which will improve the conditions of your people. You will manage it and meet the needs of its inhabitants, as well as discover the game world, and you will also have to acquire and distribute the resources needed for population growth.

Your task in Airborne Kingdom is to build a sky-high flying city. The composition of this studio includes people who participated in the creation of games like Battlefield or Dragon Age. Airborne Kingdom is a single-player fantasy city-builder with strategic elements developed and published by The Wandering Band as their first game.
